In the bustling city of Washington DC, a mother and her non-binary child navigate through a maze of misunderstandings and hidden talents as they strive to find their place in the competitive world of classical music.
The short film follows Kim Johnson, a 50-year-old Army major, and her 13-year-old autistic, non-binary child, Ace, as they embark on a journey to a prestigious music audition in Washington DC. The story begins with Kim picking up Ace from school, where Ace anxiously awaits their violin scholar audition. Upon arriving at the music school, miscommunications lead them astray, prompting Kim to embark on a frantic search for the elusive audition room.
